How To Find Inner Peace

How To Find Inner Peace

A subscriber recently asked me, “How do I find inner peace?”

Indeed, how do you go about finding this elusive lasting peace?

Finding peace is not a path of escapism.

Finding and abiding in peace requires the often-times painful prerequisite of facing all inner demons and consciously dissolving them.

Though it may be a jagged pill to swallow, searching for and discovering inner peace requires honesty and courage; two attributes that all of us must employ if we want to evolve, mature, and consciously grow beyond our current state of conscious awareness.

“All experiences facilitate the expansion of consciousness.”

In today’s video I talk about the nature of inner peace and how to go about finding it.

Peace and Joy,

Elizabeth

How The Integrity of Your Word Creates Your Reality

There are few books that stand the test of time, and for me they are usually the most straightforward and deceptively simple in nature. One such book is ‘The Four Agreements’ by Don Miguel Ruiz.

Don Miguel is a Toltec Shaman or Spiritual Master. In his Mexican culture, there is a vast and comprehensive understanding of the nature of reality and how we as humans fit into this framework. His seminal book, originally published in 1997, describes the four main principles or agreements by which we create our reality. Agreements can be likened to rules or basic truths; they are universal and applicable to everyone.

The first principle or agreement is the most important and covers everything. The other three just build upon the first. This first principle is, “Be Impeccable With Your Word”.

What does impeccable mean? Impeccable means flawless, or without error.

What does our word mean? Word implies our thoughts, speech, and subsequent actions. Essentially, what we ‘create’ in our mind, body, and emotional worlds.

Thus, impeccability points to absolute honesty and integrity in the way we communicate with ourselves and others.

The Four Agreements

People are only just beginning to understand the direct relationship between our thoughts, our words, and our behaviors. For many, it appears that these subtle realms are separate and distinct with each having no consequence or relationship to the other. However, nothing could be further from the truth.

Our thoughts are actual things; albeit subtle ‘things’ that we cannot see, taste, touch, smell, or hear. Thoughts are made of mind energy and thoughts are the building blocks of our manifested physical reality. Everything that you see was first a thought.

Our word or speech is a more concretized form of our thoughts. If you want to know how someone thinks, listen to their speech. Do they complain? Do they have a million excuses? Do they interpret everything as negative? Or is the speech of someone agreeable, interesting, energetic and inspiring? Even more rare, does the person refrain from speaking unless absolutely necessary; preferring to remain silent?

Speech reveals everything about the nature of one’s mind.

Taken a step further, our behavior and actions are just our thoughts more solidified. What we do with our day, how we prioritize things, what we choose to occupy our time with and how we go about interacting with our world also reveals everything about who and what we are.

Contrary to what many people believe, it is impossible to lie to one another. Though we might want to portray ourselves in a particular light and attempt to persuade others of how we wish we were; our speech and our actions always reveal our truth. It is inescapable.

The Four Agreements

So, what does all this mean and how does this apply to the average person going about their lives trying to discover peace and the elusive state of joy or happiness?

First it is important to realize that you are in fact totally responsible for your state of mental, emotional, and physical health. Without accepting this as a basic truth you will never gather enough power to take control of your inner world.

The First Agreement is actually all about integrity. Having the integrity to think, speak and act with honesty and conscious awareness.

Full awareness means that you are aware of your thoughts. How many of you are actually aware of what you are thinking throughout the day? Are your thoughts positive and helpful or negative and depressing?

Full awareness means that you consciously choose what you want to say. How many of you actually think before you speak? Is what you say powerful, truthful, helpful?

Full awareness means that your actions and behavior are intentional and with purpose. How many of you actually act and behave in ways that you are proud of?

Integrity means honesty and in spiritual terms it means being honest not only with others but most importantly with yourself.

Do you make promises and regularly not keep them?

Do you over exaggerate stories?

Do you participate in gossip?

Do you tell white lies to be accepted so as not to cause waves?

Do you lie to yourself and ignore what you know needs addressing?

There are many ways in which we are not holding ourselves accountable with the First Agreement. Our word is our bond to ourselves and others. When you regularly don’t follow through with things that tells other people that you are unreliable and unrealistic. It also holds you back from feeling empowered.

When our behavior is incongruent to our thoughts and feelings we come across as fake and untrustworthy.

  • Powerful people think before they act.
  • Powerful people say what they mean.
  • Powerful people follow through with their word.
  • Powerful people hold others accountable.
  • Powerful people know their worth and choose where and what to spend their time.
  • Powerful people inspire others through living in integrity.

Not having integrity within our own being affects everything we do. Our entire reality is predicated upon our thoughts, words, and actions.

This is why the first agreement is really the only agreement. It holds the power of creation in it. The other three just help to further emphasis its power.

So, now that you know that being impeccable with your word creates your reality what are you going to do with this knowledge?

Understanding The Value of Past & Parallel Lives

Past Lives? Parallel Lives?

One life is hard enough – what significance does past or parallel lives offer us? Well, it turns out – a lot, but not in the way you would think.

When it comes to understanding who and what we are, past and parallel life investigation can open up a whole new world of greater self-awareness. This greater self-awareness is not gained through further identification of yet more personalities, lifetimes and stories, however. The process of spiritual evolution and integration is the actual shedding of stories and identifications, not creating more attachments.

So how does exploring past lives help someone out with their life now? By showing them what they currently energetically resonate with.

Past and parallel life investigation is about seeing what you are now and learning the hidden lessons to challenges, issues, and perceived limitations in order to integrate them and evolve.

So if you are interested in seeing your life from another point of view, want answers to tough challenges and problems, or are just interested in having a little fun – check out and share with friends.

Join me as I guide you through a meditation to get in touch with your current parallel lives! It is guaranteed to reveal answers to questions you didn’t know you had!

Are You SURE Those Are Your Thoughts & Emotions?

Ever wonder if those are your thoughts? What about emotions? Do they always come from your inner world or are you being influenced from an outside source?

One of the most important aspects towards evolving spiritually and growing consciously is becoming more and more sensitive to life energies.

Life energies can be defined as the more subtle aspect to our physical, emotional, mental, and energy worlds.

We are all very familiar with the physical dimension of who we are, but as we get more subtle in form, our ability to recognize our energies becomes more and more difficult.

Yet, despite the fact that we are unaware of how our thoughts, emotions, and prana are being used, we are all using these various dimensions of our being all the time.

In today’s video, I discuss how we all broadcast and tune into different energy frequencies, teach you how to understand and interpret your energy from other people’s energy, and discuss four powerful ways in which we can learn to increase our energy sensitivity and why this is important.

How To Build Trust In Yourself & Your World

We hear a lot of,

“You need to trust yourself”

“It’s important to build trust”

“Why can’t you just trust me?”

What does it mean to trust?

From a spiritual perspective trust simply refers to acceptance. Acceptance of what is. To not accept what is, is to create unnecessary pain and suffering.

But many people confuse acceptance with slavery. If we just accept everything, doesn’t that make us weak? Doesn’t that make me a doormat? Am I not naive to simply accept everything as it is?

Spirituality is not about being a weak doormat nor is it about changing the world.

Spirituality is being in tune with your nature and having enough conscious awareness (energy) to use your discernment in order to navigate life properly.

Trust is knowing that what is happening is what is supposed to happen because it is happening.

Trust in oneself is allowing yourself to express, feel, and know whatever you are consciously aware of and to allow this expression to reveal itself without hindrance.

Building trust with any person, place, or thing is simply living each moment open, aware, and free.

Trusting someone is staying consciously aware of the present moment and allowing yourself to express as you deem necessary.

Trust requires energy. Trust requires consciousness. Trust requires awareness.

Trust does not mean to be sleep walking your way through life and allowing someone else to make your decisions.

Trust does not mean to give up your power to anything outside yourself in exchange for safety, peace, or love.

Trust is the ultimate freedom because when you trust, you are in synch with your deepest Self; your innermost core, and therefore as the microcosm reflects the macrocosm, you are in synch with creation.

To trust means to walk powerfully in this world.

We exist to experience, to know, to taste, to live. Are you living your life or allowing someone else to dictate how you live your life?

Are you calling the shots and trusting yourself or are you willingly giving your power away to someone or something else?

How Do We Build More Trust?

Trust comes from conscious awareness and we build this by centering ourselves.

There are many ways and means to practice centering oneself but one of the most consistent and powerful practices is meditation.

Meditation is the conscious stilling of the mind and body. When you become still you trust. When you trust you become still. These are two different sides of the same coin.

When you feel confused, anxious, scared, or depressed you are not trusting. You are hiding and running away from what is.

Building trust through the power of meditation is the number one way to feel more in control, balanced, self-aware, and powerful.
